BSHC LIDAR Seminar 2014

Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany, May 2014

German Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH), hosted a seminar regarding the experiences of bathymetric surveying using LIDAR.

The first day of the seminar was open also to the industry and the leading maufacturers was given the possibility to present their systems and experiences.
The aim for the second day was to exchange knowledge and test results within the hydrographic community. The participants were mainly from the BSHC countries but also Norway and France was present.

  A presentation made by Wilfred Elmer, BSH, regarding Lidar tests performed by BSH 2012-2014 over specific test areas.
• AHAB Bathymetric LiDAR 27 May 2014
  Presentation from AHAB regarding their different systems and results.
• FLC BHC 27 May 2014 v3 Presentation from Fugro LADS Corporation. Presentation of their experiences as a survey company using the LADS and Riegl systems.
• RIEGL-Bathy May 2014 (edited 4 june)
  A presentation by Andrea Spitzer from RIEGL. Shows the working principle of the RIEGL VQ-820-G topo-bathy laser and experiences from use of the system.

  A presentation by Rune Carbuhn Andersen from the Danish Geodata Agency. He presents their interest in Bathymetric LiDAR and lessons learned 2011-2014.
